This past February, Baltimore Bar Crawl held its second annual Presidents' Day Bar Crawl, which turned out to be a huge success. Enjoying the relatively mild weather, crawlers drank and danced all through the night, with assassins lurking in the background.
pm: Howl at the Moon - This year we kicked off the Crawl at Howl at the Moon. Despite a time discrepancy, we had one of the best kickoffs ever for a crawl. A great number of people joined us here, although for what seemed like a brief moment. Despite the long line to get in and the wind nipping at our faces, Howl at the Moon remains a favorite stop for us, with a free buffet and great deals.
30 pm: J. Paul's - Our second stop took us from Power Plant and over to J. Paul's, a fine restaurant in the Inner Harbor. Here even more crawlers gathered with us, with everybody enjoying the generous food and drink deals offered here. J. Paul's was also the first place where we hosted duels, with two crawlers taking a strong lead in the duel rankings.
45 pm: Tir Na Nog - It was at Tir Na Nog, our third stop, where we kicked off the game of Assassins. After announcing the rules and drawing names, many crawlers were promptly eliminated within the first round of the game, leaving only the wily and resourceful players left. Quite a number of duels happened here, often with surprising (and entertaining) results.
pm: Mosaic - Mosaic proved to be the slow point of the night for this crawl, though not by much. While some crawlers took advantage of the dance floor, others continued eliminating their targets and only a few remained left in the game after here. Many took the opportunity to relax and get to know their fellow crawlers here.
15 pm: Mex Baltimore - Here was possibly the highlight of the whole crawl. The drink deals were amazing, and the margaritas and sangrias flowed freely. Only the hardcore assassins made it this far, and it was here where all but the final two fell. Some crawlers caught up on drinks here while others just wanted to dance. Over all, yet another great stop at Mex.
30 pm: Luckie's Tavern - The night ended at Luckie's, which could not have been a better place to finish. Prizes were awarded to the best players (who are listed below), and with the game of Assassins finally over, crawlers took the opportunity to relax and dance until last call. A great time at Luckie's ended one of our best crawls yet, and we look forward to the next time we crawl through Power Plant.
